We recently observed that FRR OSPF is sending LS Updates in response to LS Request packets as multicast packets. This isn't correct and there is little chance the LSAs are required by other OSPF neighbors unless there are multiple database exchanges in progress that are at least loosely synchronized. I looked to RFC 2328 on this point and is at best ambiguous and at worse wrong.
