We have done a very similar thing for the SDSS databases, all our logs are harvested daily and propagated to JHU. Ani Thakar is maintaingin the system. It currently contains 140M log records in about 4 tables (Weblog, SQLLog, etc). Ani is also working on the IVOA proposal for a VO-wide distributed logging prescription.

Here are some details from Alex Lovell-Troy, who did the bulk of the work. This infrastructure is complemented at the application level by some handy C++ classes, which we could implement in Python if desired. I will likely miss tomorrow's telecon due to a meeting at UW.
