I continue to work on the stageCollection program and associated XML
policy designs. In particular, I have made substantial progress on
deciding how to "pair up" origin and destination hosts so as to
construct multiple data "pipes" based on the kind of processing that is
to take place. I also developed a Python-based FITS Image Collection
(FIC) wrapper for PyFITS and have spent some time incorporating that
into present work.
I believe Chris Cribbs has been at a conference or workshop this week.
I do know that among other things he has been involved with the details
surrounding the purchasing of a new prototyping data cluster for our
LSST work.
