I mentioned this before and was supposed to update CPU requirements for data center. Before my limited access to the internet goes away, I am sending this mail without looking at any previous mails.
Currently the data center CPU is at a fixed 2 or 3 TF per year. I think this needs to be revisited. The CPU requirement *might* include: + 50% of the queries ( approx. 2-3 TF) + Operations (moving or receiving data, data delivery for the data access center) 23.6 TF (using Ray's calculations as in sheet three) + what % "on the demand"?? (it is currently 0) Should I add this 23.6+ TF/year to the data center CPU requirements? Or did I miss any thing. Cheers, Arun ~~~~~~~~~ Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.
