Ray Plante and I will do yet another run at getting the
archive and base clusters in line with each other. Both of
us will use the 132 node 5TF cluster LLNL just purchased as
a common starting point and scale up to meet our differing
requirements.
We will use 2 years as our doubling time for performance and
costs. For the base I will configure and price clusters for
10 TF deliveries in 1st half and 2 half of 2011 and a final 5TF
addition in 1st half 2012.
We will then update the cost estimates in document-2081.
