Hi there,
Just a quick note: MOPS is currently a 32 bit system and has never been tested on a 64 bit machine. Such a test would be interesting though (but potentially filled with bitter surprises).

Can usually get TeraGrid nodes for an hour without a reservation, depending on when. 8-hour reservations usually require 1 week advance. We have maxed out data transfer rates, we can still increase number of nodes/CPUs. Working on “latest performance statistics” document and report. Clusters Need cluster for MOPS, working on stand alone install on FP machine, cluster at BNL. Can also set up account on Xeon cluster at NCSA. Newer 64-bit dual core Xeon clusters at NCSA are available starting in mid-October for special projects. RP has discussed with Rob Pennington to get access to 32 nodes to migrate off llst-archive cluster, should be possible. Upcoming Meetings AAS 20070106 - 08 (abstracts due 20061018 still need to get direction from management on approach/direction) CMU/Google/UW 20061009 - 10 (Tim will be there to discuss image processing, detection, major focus in DC2) JHU 20061012 – 13 (Jeff there to discuss xmatch, JHU R&D tasks, database matters) ADASS 20061015 – 18 (Maria and Jeff presenting, will coordinate when Jeff is at JHU on 20061012, Jacek not attending) _______________________________________________ LSST-data mailing list
