For several years NOAO has had a project to build a high performance
pipeline system as well as pipeline applications for the NOAO Mosaic
Imagers and the NOAO Extremely Wide-Field InfraRed Mosaic (NEWFIRM).
Though we have given occasional presentations we have been focused
more on development than documentation. Now that we have a
functioning system and Mosaic Imager Pipeline we are preparing papers
on our project. We consider the pipeline infrastructure and specific
pipelines to be separate systems. We are working on three reference
documents describing the NOAO High Performance Pipeline System, the
NOAO Mosaic Imager Pipeline: Design and Performance, and the NOAO
Mosaic Imager Pipeline: Methods, Data Products, and Science
Verification.
We have completed the first paper which we felt would be of interest
to your projects and many of you have previously requested
documentation on our project. The other two papers are in
preparation. We will be presenting posters of pieces of this work at
next week's ADASS meeting in Tucson.
