Data Challenges
- DC1 long run has been done, dbingest failed on too many log files issues, was re-run stand-alone.
- JM/RP analyzing long run, this should be good enough to go with for report, subject to JM not finding issues. RP will reserve time next week anyway, in case JM finds something, or we want to continue to do runs after the report.
- For DC1 report, include updated timeline for alerting, including readout, transfer, pipeline, and ingest at the base (update to Don Dossa timeline). JB Ingest rate for base camp at 100k diaSources within 3 seconds is only 10MB/s. (Object table update is 200MB/30s, or 7MB/s. Test this in DC2).
- DC2 scoping and planning as started, Tim/Jeff will start to roll out plan soon, prototyping environment meeting and all hands breakout
- JB - Debrief of xmatch, db schema meeting (release freq is 1/yr, deep detection is 2/yr, will store 10% source measurement rather than average (only low SN as averages), not storing releases in fast/deep storage simultaneously -> this implies re-structuring schema for storage feasibility. JB re-running numbers with these changes, catalog size is only 10% larger, but releases are longer so disk space increases over time, use larger disks). Will consider compression only as a last resort if needed. Every other DataAccessWG telecon will be longer, JB will publish new meeting schedule.
FRS, OCD, UML Model Updates
- Need to do this before year end, to bring up to date. Jeff and Tim starting to work on this now.
