Hi, we (a few human rights activists) will be presenting a Offensive Privacy workshop in Berlin.
As a way to better understand privacy threats we present case studies and cover simple open-source-intelligence investigative techniques that can be used to de-anonymize others. (Some case studies from Bellingcat, some from our own work.) We will also show how governments have used Italian, German and Israeli made spyware against human rights activists and how these attacks looked to their victims. (Using case studies from CitizenLab and Amnesty.) Finally we will cover what one can do to protect themselves. For further details see: https://nocompany.co/offensive_privacy.pdf If you intend to join please RSVP, as seating is limited: [email protected] This will be the very first event hosted in this space. There is a cover charge (see PDF) which will help support the space. We are happy to sponsor tickets, just message me.
