Hi all, The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) is one of the world’s largest and most innovative investigative reporting organizations. Headquartered in Sarajevo, and with a staff of over 100 employees around the world, our network of independent media centers in over two dozen countries produces ground-breaking cross-border investigative stories.
In just the last few years, we’ve published the Panama Papers, the Paradise Papers, the Troika, Azerbaijani, and Russian Laundromats, and many other large, collaborative, investigative projects. We want to reinvent investigative reporting — and we need you. OCCRP is looking for a talented, ambitious, and experienced Head of Web to move our primary website and related project sites to a new generation of digital and visual storytelling. This is a leadership position within our Technology Department. You will build an in-house digital team and draw on external skills as needed. You will work closely with our editorial, data and tech teams. You will lead on managing the look and feel of OCCRP and handling more technical chores like migrating the back end of occrp.org. You will be responsible for managing daily story production on the site, working with editorial on project planning and develop new interactive content. You will manage relationships with senior staff across the organisation and external suppliers, managing procurement and budgets, analysis and reporting of results, and in the longer term work to co-develop the organisation’s digital strategy. This is a demanding position. It requires improving infrastructure, while also building a shared vision for what our site could be and developing a plan to get us there.
