In case you are wondering, I made the decision to allow Maria's final email
message through the list. I say "final" because as Maria says below she has
asked to leave the list.
Maria was an important activist on the list, particularly during the Arab
Spring.
For all of us in LT who worked with Maria, we will always remember her fondly
for her important contributions to that cause and the larger one of tech for
good.
We may not agree with all of Maria's ideas, but we will always respect her for
the personal risk she incurred in fighting for democracy in Yemen and for
fighting against Iranian, Russian, and Saudi trolls.
We wish Maria and her family all the best in her current and future endeavors.

please unsubscribe me. I am interested in liberation technology not USSR for
progressives, which is what Silicon valley has become. I believe in democracy
for everyone, not just when it suits my views
