That would work, but it will be larger than what's in
rootfs.ext2.gz.uboot.  You might want to enable
CONFIG_DEPLOYMENT_ROOTFS_KEEPSTAGE in your .config, and then

./ltib -e
sudo tar -C rootfs.tmp -jcf rootfs.tar.bz2 .
