The idea is to leave the system under test in a clean state when pan
finishes.  Is it necessary?  Probably not.  Does it prevent misbehaving
test cases from littering the system?  Yes.  The test cases which are
being affected by the orphan killer should be fixed.  If you want to add
an option to pan to turn off the orphan killer, I'll review and sign off
on the patch.  I don't think we should turn it off by default.
