Considering reviewers' comments, I did some fixes. All these patches have been tested on PPC64 (JS22) architecture.
This does not include XML dump which will be the subject of another series. Testing matrix_mult on two different architectures showed up: - bugs when requesting statistics - needs for enhancements.
