Hi all,
I was trying to run ltpstress test on an customized RHEL4 2.6.9-78 largesmp
kernel. The machine is like this:
/boot ext3
/ XFS on LVM
swap
cpu: 2*Intel DP /QuadCore
memory: 12G
swap: 2G
Both 20071231 and 20080831 failed.
The problem of 20071231 is: ltpstress test quited after running for only
about 24 hours. It was supposed to run 72 hours.
In the log file of ltpstress 20071231, there's one line of:
pselect01 FAIL 1
And in the output file, there is this:
pselect01 1 PASS : Basic pselect syscall testing....OK
pselect01 0 INFO : Testing basic pselect sanity,Sleeping for 1 secs
pselect01 2 PASS : Sleep time was correct
pselect01 0 INFO : Testing basic pselect sanity,Sleeping for 2 secs
pselect01 3 PASS : Sleep time was correct
pselect01 0 INFO : Testing basic pselect sanity,Sleeping for 3 secs
pselect01 4 PASS : Sleep time was correct
pselect01 0 INFO : Testing basic pselect sanity,Sleeping for 4 secs

pselect01 6 PASS : Sleep time was correct
pselect01 0 INFO : Testing basic pselect sanity,Sleeping for 2000000

pselect01 7 FAIL : Sleep time was incorrect:5 != 6
pselect01 0 INFO : Testing basic pselect sanity,Sleeping for 3000000
micro secs
pselect01 8 PASS : Sleep time was correct
pselect01 0 INFO : Testing basic pselect sanity,Sleeping for 4000000
micro secs
pselect01 9 PASS : Sleep time was correct
The problem of 20080831 is: ltpstress test quited after running for only 1
hour, and root user logged out by some unknown reasons. It was supposed to
run 72 hours.
In the ltpstress log file of 200780831, there are 7 lines of this:
rpc_tirpc_ts_run.sh FAIL 127
And in stress.part3 file, there is this:
fchdir02 fchdir02
chmod05 cp -p $LTPROOT/testcases/bin/change_owner $TMP;chmod05
setpgid03 setpgid03
dup07 dup07
mkdir05 mkdir05
fchmod03 fchmod03
# include the ulimit.h file anymore. The test will fail
capset01 capset01
mknod08 mknod08
link07 link07
setuid01 setuid01
msgctl03 msgctl03
truncate01 truncate01
alarm01 alarm01
fcntl05 fcntl05
# fcntl27 fcntl27
setgroups01 setgroups01
confstr01 confstr01
ftruncate02 ftruncate02
Any idea?
Best regards,
Simon
