Hi!

I used ltpstress (20081031) to test our customized 2.6.9-78 RHEL4 kernel for
48 hours, the test exited normally and the total line number of the log file
(specified by -l) was more than 140000. Then I merged some more patches
into the kernel and used ltpstress (20081031) to tested it again for 48
hours, and test exited normally but the total line number of the log file
was only 10248. I used the same machine and linux installation for both
tests.

My questions are:

1) Can I consider that the second kernel failed to pass the ltpstress test?
2) Are there any standards for judging whether the system pass the ltpstress
test or not?
3) What do you think may be the reason for the sharp difference in log file
length between two tests?

Thanks.

Regards,
Ruomu
