I didn't see Juergen or Robert mention runltp in any of their emails.  I
got the sense that they were using pan to manage their own tests and
needed a method of limiting the runtime of a single test.

The patch to pan looked good to me, but I'll be honest that I didn't
compile and test it.

I think collie is a better solution. :)  It allows you to add timeouts
to all of your test tags.
