Libraries are nice, but really though.. if it's just a small set
of functions localized to a couple of testcases in the same general
area, you should just have the Makefile link the testcases along with
the .c file instead of going through the exercise of creating another
library that you need to track in the sourcebase (remember: make
dependencies are nasty sometimes unless you call out all of the
explicit dependencies properly, and then again our make system isn't
as complete as a BSD distro's make system).
