Regarding network library test_net.sh, which include 'tst_hwaddr' function, it should return the right address as it gets it from sysfs. Then it's up to the test to proceed with the returning address. Most tests are using hwaddr to get interface name, but it will be eliminated if test_net.sh is used. The other tests (like stress/broken_ip) are using hwaddr to construct fake ICMP message.
