Okay, I'll try that it works with 2.59 and libtool-1.5 Which libelf versions are on these machines? Do you have a "/usr/lib/pkgconfig/libelf.pc"? On my 8.04.4 ubuntu, I have: libtoolize (GNU libtool) 1.5.26 autoconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.61 automake (GNU automake) 1.10.1 lifelf 0.8.6 ...and it works now. > In response to your ping, not that it was directed at me, I'd have to say: > > [*] I'm somewhat interested in autoconf/automake patches > [*] I hate autotools > [ ] cmake is the ultimate awesomeness and you are an idiot for wasting > time with autotools > [*] cmake sounds all better and shiny but my wholly uninformed opinion > is that I wouldn't trust it to handle the tricky stuff (eg > cross-compilation, weird platforms) > [ ] I'm not interested at all > [ ] I ate a live squirrel for breakfast At least someone was interested in autotools and I'm familiar with them, so I stated with autotoole. Just ~4 hours of work. I want to learn cmake, maybe I'll try a cmake port, too, but not now.
