I'm happy to announce that LTSP 2.09pre2 is finally available for download.
There are major changes included in this release, and for the complete
changelog, take a look at http://www.ltsp.org/CHANGELOG.txt
Here's a short list of some noteworthy changes:
1) Moved the ltsroot directory to /opt/ltsp/i386.
This paves the way to begin handling other
architectures for the workstations.
2) New kernel package, includes an initrd, with all
available network card drivers built as modules.
This gets us one step closer to Wireless workstations.
3) Fixed/Improved support for local apps.
4) XFree86 4.1.0
5) Swap via NFS included
Please keep in mind, this is a Pre-release. That is, it hasn't been
thoroughly
tested yet, and the documentation hasn't been updated. But, it works great
here in the lab. Your mileage may vary.
