I am trying to set up a set of machines, but have
encountered problems with boot ROMS and (lack of)
support from card manufactures.
The machines were supplied with D-Link DFE-530TX
cards and DFE-534R2 ROMS. However these come
with RPL software and dispite claiming to be
Flash arn't flashable. (The Etherboot code
works perfectly with these cards, but D-Link
d/won't "support" it.)
D-Link, after much effort mentioned the DFE-550TX
cards, which arn't listed anywhere on the LTSP
or Etherboot documentation.
What cards can people recommend with either suitable
ROMS being available or Flash ROMS which can be
flashed with the Etherboot code?
My impression is that many manufactures simply
fit sockets to their cards but have little interest
in these sockets being used.
