I've upgraded the LTSP kernel package for 2.09pre2.

It is now available on the download page.

Thanks,

here is the changelog:

ltsp kernel pkg 2.09pre2-4 Sept 26, 2001

o For PCI network cards, the card should automatically be
detected. That's right! I've written a program that
will scan the /proc/bus/pci/devices file, and do a lookup
to figure out which NIC module to be loaded.
This means that you no longer need to specify the NIC=
parameter in the options-129 entry in the /etc/dhcpd.conf file.

Although, you can still specify that NIC parameter, if you
want to override the auto-detected card. Or, if you have
a network card that doesn't get detected automatically.

This is ONLY for PCI cards. ISA cards still need to be
specified with the NIC= parameter in the dhcpd.conf file.

Please email me at [EMAIL PROTECTED], if your card fails to be
    detected. (PCI only).

  o Updated to linux kernel v2.4.9. I couldn't go to 2.4.10, because
the NFS swap patch isn't available yet. In fact,
Claus-Justus Heine was nice enough to update the patch
from 2.4.5 to 2.4.9 for me, and all I had to do was ask :)

o The 8139too driver now works properly for rtl1839 based cards.

o Reduced the size of the image by about 40k, by making the
initrd filesystem smaller. It was being created as a 4mb
ramdisk, but didn't need to be that large.

o Added the kmods package into the kernel package. This is
because the modules are so tightly coupled to the version
    of the kernel.

o Turned on autofs (both v3 and v4) and turned on a whole
    bunch of other stuff.
