I did that, modelled after what was already in there. This is what I
entered:

elif [ -f /etc/slackware-version ]; then

    DISTRO_NAME="Slackware"
    DISTRO_VERSION=`awk '{ print $6 }' /etc/slackware-version`
    TEMPLATE_FILE="slackware-${DISTRO_VERSION}.sh"

I think the problem may have been with the "$6". I put it in there because
it seemd to be the next "number" to use, since "5" seemed to be the highest.
But just for testing purposes, I deleted *all* the searches for other
distros, leaving just the Slackware one, and changing the "$6" to $1". It
went thru the install!

Now I just have to try to make sure the other packages get installed, which
I'll do tomorrow (it's late, and I'm at work... :-( ) I'll post my results.

Incidently, in case anyone is wondering, this is for 2.09pre-3.

Jim (or anyone else who cares to answer...): I downloaded all the 2.09pre-3
packages, that were up there, but what are the absolutely essential ones
I'll need? I would definately like to do local apps, but I want to get
2.09pre-3 working first before messing with that, so obviously those two
aren't really needed just yet. Obviously lts_core, but what about the
others??

Thanx!
