Hi, I posted earlier on this mailing list about a modified version of NBD I wrote to support networked removable devices.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get enough time to work seriously on it. However, part of my work is available at http://perso.wanadoo.fr/christophe.garde/nbdf.html The version provided there is quite functionnal for floppies, I just can't get enough time to 1) test it thoroughly 2) make some kind of config file, automation... 3) port it to latest kernel versions (it should be very easy though) Anyway, if this can help, please feel free to use it.
