I'm using ltsp (with local apps). When the two machines (client & server (RH 7.1, lts_core-2.07-0) are connected directly (i.e. a cable connection) the client will boot with no problems. When I put a switch (BayStack 10/100 auto sensing) in the middle the boot process halts when it tries to do an NFS mount with:

help ! anyone come across this before ?
NB this can't be a simple network problem because the client can get it's ip address & other DHCP details & download the kernel with no problems every time.
(NB #2 looking on the switch no packets are dropped at the clients or server's ports)
