On hand: v2.09pre4, grub-0.90, 3com 3x905txm in the client What went wrong: grub complains when it tries to load the kernel. linux 'zImage' kernel too big, try 'make bzImage'
I should not have tried because.... Now, folks have worked out how to re-flash selected PXE cards including the one I have. And Marty Connor/James Linder show how to bridge the PXE/netboot gap without re-flashing. But I tried anyway because..... It's looking like grub will be the swiss-army-knife booter, diskless or diskful (Sun thinks that's a word), and grub works on non-tagged kernels. It saves linuxers a step, with the downside (so far) of no DOS ramdisks. So, Jim, what do you think? Would you add untagged bzImage kernels next snapshot? -- Deep down in every one of us there is a certain stagnant something that is dormant. -- Anna Russell _____________________________________________________________________ Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
