After banging my head against Diskless Nodes-HOWTO, Root over NFS-HOWTO,
etc. etc. I finally came across LTSP and realised this was exactly what
I was looking for. So, two big votes of thanks to you guys:
(i) Thanks for an imaginative and technically elegant solution to the
"thin client problem". Creativity and lateral thinking are not unknown
in the open source world, but you guys are up there with the best
(ii) Thanks for some really first class user documentation for your
product. Now this is a really something special in the open source
community, which is usually so busy perfecting the code that the
documentation gets put off till tomorrow ("you can read the comments in
the source code, can't you?" :-).
Based on my experience, I've a couple of suggestions for improvement,
but I'll put those in separate emails to make discussion easier.
For now then - well done ltsp team, you have a five star product!
Thanks - John
