Do you have a private or an internet address for your thin clients?

For a private address you need a proxy - eg squid running on your
internet machine.

Configure netscape to use manual proxies: http 3128 on your
internet-connected server. If netscape is not local-app then your server
connect rules apply (It works, or it needs your ISP's proxy, or
whatever)
