I'm having a similar problem under RH7.1. When my first LTSP client boots
(successfully), I see in /var/log/messages:

Nov 13 22:09:13 myserver dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from aa.bb.cc.dd.ee.ff via eth0
Nov 13 22:09:13 myserver dhcpd: DHCPOFFER on 192.168.0.3 to aa.bb.cc.dd.ee.ff via eth0
Nov 13 22:09:13 myserver dhcpd: DHCPREQUEST for 192.168.0.3 from aa.bb.cc.dd.ee.ff via
eth0
Nov 13 22:09:13 myserver dhcpd: DHCPACK on 192.168.0.3 to aa.bb.cc.dd.ee.ff via eth0
Nov 13 22:09:14 myserver xinetd[596]: tftp service was deactivated because of looping
Nov 13 22:09:14 myserver tftpd[2165]: recvfrom: Resource temporarily unavailable
[...message repeated 8 times...]
Nov 13 22:09:18 myserver rpc.mountd: authenticated mount request from 192.168.0.3:800
for /tftpboot/lts/ltsroot (/tftpboot/lts/ltsroot)
Nov 13 22:09:21 myclient syslogd started: BusyBox v0.51 (2001.05.08-02:46+0000)
Nov 13 22:09:21 myclient init: Entering runlevel: 2
Nov 13 22:09:21 myclient init: Switching to runlevel: 5

in var/log/secure:

Nov 13 22:09:13 myserver xinetd[596]: START: tftp pid=2164 from=192.168.0.3
[...8 similar messages repeated...]
Nov 13 22:09:14 myserver xinetd[596]: START: tftp pid=2173 from=192.168.0.3

but as tftpd has died no further clients can connect from this point.

Is this a known bug in RH 7.1/xinetd (the search facility on the ltsp-archive seems to
be dead?)

Thanks - John

Subject: [Ltsp-discuss] Multiple TFTP requests.

I am using a etherboot boot image being loaded via rpld.
One of the things I have noticed is that I get about 10 tftp requests
all at once for the /tftpboot/vmlinux.xxx file.

Has anybody seen this before and know what the cure is?
