If anybody's interested I've got LTSP working fine under SuSE 7.2 using xdm
but I had to make a few changes;
1. Make a link suse-7.2 to the script suse.sh in lts_core so that the install
script accepts SuSE version 7.2
2. In dhcpd.conf I had to remove the options-128 &129 lines (not needed now
anyway as pci nic's are autodetected) and add the following line;
ddns-update-style ad-hoc;
Otherwise the command rcdhcpd syntax-check reports config file errors and
dhcpd will not start.
then change the filename path from /tftproot/lts/vmlinuz.ltsp to;
/lts/vmlinuz.ltsp
3. Just got to get kdm and workstation sound working now...and I wonder if
its possible to get a workstation to use a locally connected scsi scanner and
cd writer ?
Thanks to everybody involved with LTSP for creating such a great project - if
only I could get them to start using it at my work !
