*** Look in the file
/etc/X11/xdm/xdm-config
look for a line that reads DisplayManager.requestPort:0 and if it exists
delete it (or comment it out with a !)
You'll also want to make sure the Xaccess file in the same directory
contains a line:
* # Every host can get a login window
Make sure this line is not commented out.
