I have 2.09pre3 working fine with an eepro100, Matrox 400G
workstation, 384MB RAM, but not with an Asus all-in-one motherboard
with 8139too and SiS 730 video, 1024MB RAM. Etherboot works OK, and
loads to this point:
NET4: Unix domain sockets 1.0/SMP for Linux NET4.0.
VFS: Cannot open root device "ram0" or 01:00
Please append a correct "root=" boot option
Kernel Panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 01:00
My lts.conf for this workstation has:
[ws002]
XSERVER = XF86_SVGA
X_RES_1 = 1024x768
X_HORZSYNC = 31-62
X_VERTREFRESH = 55-90
LOCAL_APPS = N
USE_NFS_SWAP = Y
SWAPFILE_SIZE = 48m
RUNLEVEL = 3
I am using Mandrake 8.0. Can anyone give me a hint as to where to
check next?
Thanks.
