this would mean that the card hasnt been assigned an IRQ or IO address.

I'd look in the bios and see if you can assign IRQ's to specific PCI slots
and if that doesnt work turn of PNP OS = yes to NO and manually assign the
resources rather than automatic assignment

if this still doesnt work try removing other hardware except the video card
obviously heh......
