I'm on thin ground here, but this is what I think:
pre4
rh7.1
I copied strace to the /opt...bin

my /opt...etc/nsswitch.conf does NOT use NIS

I could not resolve service names on the ws.
strace showed missing libnsl...
copying it to opt/ltsp/i386/lib fixed this problem

I cannot resolve names using lookups from my cache-only name server.
strace shows missing libxxx...
I just have not tried to fix it yet
