At School we are running 3.0.0 (well, kernel 3.0.1) on woody, not that big
problem. The only thing why to use LTSP is that the kernel and rootfs thing
are easy to configure, I use it at home, too, but the server runs FreeBSD
and only the clients boot LTSP because it is so easy to set up, it works
fine. If you need the NFS swap I think you should give it a try.
