SuSE is my distro of choice.
On LTSP's part, it is really easy to keep up to date with fresh releases of
SuSE. Unlike some other distro's they stay consistent with file locations,
config files. It is a breaze to upgrade, because all config files and tools
stay were they belong from release to release.
I had very negative experiences with RedHat in that area.
So if it works on SuSE 7.1 it will work just fine on 7.3.
Trust me, I have it running LTSP on 7.3 myself.
As to availability of ISO images. SuSE provides ISO for eval only.
It is well worth $80, especially when you get 2300 apps on 7CDs and 1 DVD.
Compared to RedHat's $200 for Deluxe.
