Now that I've got V3.0 working, I thought I'd go for gold and try the
LPP kernel ... however, it dies the death as follows:
mknbi-1.2-6/first.c (GPL)
32768k total memory
Ramdisk at 0X01F8E000, size 0X00072000
You passed an undefined mode number.
Press <RETURN> to see video modes available, <SPACE> to continue or wait 30 secs
If I press <RETURN>, I get:
Video adapter: VESA VGA
Mode: COLSxROWS:
0 0F00 80x25
...
8 030A 132x43
Enter mode number or 'scan':
If I type 'scan', I get the same but showing modes 0 - 9. Any
suggestions please?
