It is said on the help of ltsp : "With older versions of LTSP (2.08 and earlier), lots of directories were exported on the server and mounted by the workstation. Directories such as /bin, /usr/bin , /lib and /usr were exposed to the workstation. The problem with that scheme is that it only works if the workstation and the server are the same architecture. In fact, even differences, like the server being a Pentium II (i686) and the workstation being a classic Pentium (i586) can be a problem, because the server will likely have the i686 libraries and not the i386, i486 or i586 libraries."
As I understand, the libraries must be for the lowest architecture of the client. If I have a i486 client, I need libraries for i486 and local apps will then runs for all the clients (the i486, but also the i586 and i686) ? That's why I can't export /bin /lib /usr from the server if I have a client with a lower architecture. That's right ? -bitlov ______________________________________________________________________________ ifrance.com, l'email gratuit le plus complet de l'Internet ! vos emails depuis un navigateur, en POP3, sur Minitel, sur le WAP... http://www.ifrance.com/_reloc/email.emailif _____________________________________________________________________ Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
