I have some good experiences of running StarOffice with only 8 Mb RAM. NFS swapping is 
needed, and with a custom kernel, which can be as small as 500kb, you gcan make some 
extra RAM available for X. I have tried to minimize my custom kernels, and when I have 
found what the minimal requirements are, I'll post here.
