The dhcp webmin module is a standard module and works well. You can configure everything necessary for ltsp with it. http://www.webmin.com/webmin/standard.html
The ltsp webmin module works 'ok'. You can configure *most things with it. It doesn't seem to read existing lts.conf files very well though. Also, I don't know if it works with ltsp 3.0. Although I don't find it to be too difficult to add a workstation by editing 3 files, some co-workers do, so webmin does the trick. But, you still have to go to 3 places to add 1 workstation. Maybe a perl script that adds the workstation to the dhcpd.conf, lts.conf, and hosts files all in one shot would be a good idea? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Original Message <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< On 1/15/02, 3:07:40 PM, "James Vasey" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote regarding [Ltsp-discuss] DHCP Configurator: > Is there, or is anyone working on a method of quickly allowing a > non-competent user to quickly add workstations, and configure them from > within a web browser > i.e. the user enters the mac address, AT/PS2 connector, driver, etc? > I know there is a webmin for the LTSP server side, but haven't seen one for > setting up clients? > If anyone is working on one, let me, perhaps work together toward a > solution? > James Vasey > - desperate, confused, and trying to supply LTSP to a school with a network > tech from mars. > _____________________________________________________________________ > Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
