it's also possible to connect directly to the W2K,
which could reduce the load on the server, and reduce
the application installed on the LTSP Server.

I'm using 486DX2-66 LTSP Server (server - not the workstation) 
which then will redirect the client to the W2K....
the task on the LTSP Server side only use a low resource
DHCP, TFTP and NFS so that it could be run on a 486DX2-66
