OK, now everything works except that when XFree86 tries to start. The
screen goes blank and then shows some text briefly before repeating the
process again. It does this infinitely and too fast for me to read the
text. I presume this means the XFree86 server is the wrong one for my
video card. My test box is an old i486 and maybe I am using the server
named simply "XFree86" that is installed with the LTSP 3.0 rpms.
What exactly does this cover? Is it a generic SVGA server?
Also, is there a way to pause the client so I can read what the screen is
displaying when still in text mode. I never get any graphics, just a
black screen when it tries to go into X.
