I'm printing from a RH7.1 system using CUPS to print to an Epson Stylus
Photo 700 attached to a parallel port on an LTSP 3 workstation. The CUPS
settings are:
device: AppSocket/HP JetDirect
device URI: socket://wsname:9100/
Printing is fine on small printouts, but anything over say half a page
of densely typed A4 runs into problems. The printer starts doing page
feed after page feed, until I pull the paper out, lprm the job, and then
reboot the workstation to clear all the buffered output.
Has anyone seen anything like this? It's as if there is some handshake
missing somewhere along the line?
