I've finally given in to family pressure to try and get sound working on
my RH7.1/Ximian Gnome/LTSP3 setup. I've installed the ltsp_esound-0.1f-1
rpm; added SOUND = Y to /opt/ltsp/i386/etc/lts.conf for the workstation.
Now when I reboot the workstation I get:
Running Sound Server
- accepting connections on port 16001
- accepting connections on port 16001
- accepting connections on port 16001
- accepting connections on port 16001
- accepting connections on port 16001
aumix: error opening mixer
Any clues as to what to try next?
