Jim,
i get the ltsp package as part of the K12-ltsp distribution. the
latest load broke usb printing, more specifically my TninkNICs complain
about not being able to "assign new usb port address (error 110)". i
wonder what change caused it. i looked in the modules directiries on
servers running new and old distributions and they are the same under the
usb heading. i don't know how to capture all the boot messages from the
workstation, so i have to qoute from memory, and my short term memory went
away a long time ago. new boot talks about finding a 2 port usb hub, the
old one is silent about it. this in on the physically same piece of
equipment.
i'd like to be able to back out the broken piece, reinstall the
one that worked and keep the rest of the new distro because it is new and
better in other respects. where should i look for the culprit? tia, julius
