There where enough tips during the last days, and as far as I remember they
where all correct, but describing different alternatives.
If you don�t want to test switch to a fully supported distro. Or read the
manual, nobody can do that for you.
Let me clarify:
1. LTSP works on every distro (even non-Linux sytems like solaris) if the
needed services are set up correctly on the server.
2. LTSP can set up the services in a semi-automatic way during
installation. This works only on the "supported distros".
3. To install the tarballs on a non-supported distro, you have to fool the
install script, either by editing it directly or by changing the files it
looks for - e.g. /etc/SuSE-Release or something. Another alternative is to
not run the install script at all and copy the i386 directory to /opt/ltsp/
by hand.
