Richard,

The Iopener boots from a kernel loaded in flash.  That kernel
doesn't have the things needed for LTSP v3.0.  That is, it doesn't
have devfs.

To make it work, you'll need to build a new kernel for it.

Or, leave the older /tftpboot/lts/ltsroot directory setup
for Iopeners to use.
