I'm waiting for CheapBytes to bring me Mandrake 8.2 (also ordered
PowerPack) ... 3 CDs on dialup isn't an option at what we pay for
Internet connection ;-)
Anyway, when Mdk 8.1 came out I changed the install scripts from 8.0
to 8.1 -- that worked, except for the change to DHCPD 3, which
required a few changes to the dhcpd.conf file.
I have been watching the Cooker mailing list, and I'm not aware of any
major changes that will affect LTSP.
If you can find the mandrake.sh file in the ltsp_core package, around
line 1077 it says:
if [ "${VERSION}" = "7.2" -o ... -o "${VERSION}" ="8.1" ]; then
Try adding this:
-o "${VERSION}" = "8.2"
before the closing square bracket. Same around line 1225.
Then make a symlink to the mandrake .sh file, by typing:
ln -s mandrake.sh mandrake-8.2.sh
in that same directory. Then ... well ... give it a try. Or you can
wait for Jim to get around to releasing one that supports 8.2.
