I assume that you are using hpnpf? If so, hpnpf will check port 139 (netbios) to see if it is a valid HP JetDirect printer/card. I don't believe that lp_server has implemented a way of responding to this request.
The only other alternative is to write a script on the SCO system to dump the contents of the file passed to the interface script out to the given IP/Name on port 9100. You would then need to replace '/usr/lib/hpnp/hpnpf' within the /usr/spool/lp/admins/lp/interfaces/[printer] script to your newly made port dump script. This is all theoretical, as I have yet to put something together to test it. In the near future I will write a Perl script to do it...but I hope this helps for now. > Message: 12 > From: Jim Kohtz <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: "'[EMAIL PROTECTED]'" > <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Date: Tue, 2 Apr 2002 16:33:12 -0600 > Subject: [Ltsp-discuss] SCO to Linux jetdirect printing > > > We have installed Linux terminal server project on a couple of machines.
